Case Report: Atypical Imaging Findings of Leptomeningeal Disease in EGFR-Mutated Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
Leptomeningeal disease (LMD) is a severe complication of metastatic cancer and is particularly prevalent in patients with epidermal growth factor receptor‐mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). While MRI is crucial for early detection, classic imaging findings of LMD may
be absent. This report presents the case of a 63-year-old woman with epidermal growth factor receptor‐mutated NSCLC exhibiting atypical findings of LMD on MRI, emphasizing the need to recognize unusual imaging patterns for timely diagnosis and management.
