Cervical Myelopathy Following Electrical Injury: A Case Series
Neurologic symptoms are commonly associated with burn injuries, but, as we describe in this case series, high voltage electrical trauma can also present with both immediate and delayed neurologic sequelae. MR imaging shows white matter signal abnormalities in the cervical spinal cord
predominantly involving the dorsal columns and lateral corticospinal tracts. We present a series of 3 patients with this striking pattern of spinal cord white matter involvement and review potential pathophysiology.
