Suspected Central Nervous System Vasculitis in the Setting of Severe COVID-19: A Case Report
The recent coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has sparked investigations of the manifestations of the disease across multiple organ systems. Recent, but limited, evidence supports the neurologic manifestations of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection and associated
imaging findings such as FLAIR signal abnormality, infarction, and hemorrhagic necrotizing encephalopathy. Recent evidence also supports clinical and pathologic findings of systemic vasculitis associated with COVID-19. We present what, to our knowledge, is the first reported case of suspected
CNS vasculitis associated with COVID-19.
