MR fingerprinting is a technique that allows in vivo quantification of T1 and T2 relaxometry. We report a clinical application of this technique for tissue characterization in a patient with subcortical nodular heterotopia. Despite a conflicting surgical biopsy report, MR fingerprinting results were able to noninvasively point to the correct diagnosis of heterotopia, which was subsequently confirmed by surgical resection.
