Uncommon Presentation of Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma Metastatic Disease within a Lipomatous Neck Mass: A Case Report

We reviewed atypical features of lipomatous masses, patterns of pancreatic adenocarcinoma metastasis, and the anatomic importance of the posterior cervical space for the lymphatic spread of intra-abdominal malignancies using a case report of a patient with pancreatic cancer who presented with a rubbery neck mass. CT imaging of the neck demonstrated a lipomatous mass in the posterior cervical space, with atypical imaging features that, on biopsy, revealed the surprising diagnosis of pancreatic metastasis.
