Necrobiotic Xanthogranuloma of the Eyelids and Face, a Rare Systemic Disease: MRI Findings
Necrobiotic xanthogranuloma is a rare, chronic, systemic disease with few findings described in the radiologic literature. When considering enhancing periorbital masses, the initial differential diagnosis includes both inflammatory and neoplastic diseases. The clinical presentation
is usually nonspecific, and the final diagnosis often takes a long time to establish. We presented this case so that the orbital imaging findings might be helpful in leading to this uncommon diagnosis.
