Frontal Sinus Pneumatoceles Associated With Chronic, Posttraumatic Intracranial Hypotension
We present a dramatic case of frontal sinus pneumatoceles that occurred years after ventriculoperitoneal shunt catheter placement for the treatment of posttraumatic hydrocephalus in a patient with imaging findings of intracranial hypotension. Frontal sinus pneumatocele formation is
a potential chronic complication of reduced intracranial pressure from over-shunting of CSF.
