Oculomotor Palsy in PHACE Syndrome With Imaging Correlation
PHACE (posterior fossa malformations, hemangiomas, arterial anomalies, coarctation of the aorta and other cardiac defects, eye abnormalities) syndrome is an array of associated anomalies. We presented an infant with findings of PHACE syndrome as well as third nerve hypoplasia. Although
third nerve palsies have been clinically associated, this has not been previously reported as an imaging finding in PHACE syndrome. Along with a brief review of the literature, this report aimed to increase awareness of cranial nerve hypoplasia and to suggest an imaging protocol for these
patients.
