Tumor-to-Tumor Metastasis: A Case of Lung Cancer Metastasis To a Meningioma

Metastasis from one tumor to another is an extremely rare occurrence. Meningiomas have been cited as the most common recipient tumor, whereas breast and lung cancer were the most common donors. Imaging findings suggestive of a metastatic deposit within a meningioma include an interval increase in size of the lesion and development of heterogeneity due to hemorrhage and/or necrosis as well as aggressive features, for example, perineural spread. This is an important entity to recognize because it can be the first presentation of an occult distant primary malignancy.
