Pseudo-Arteriovenous Shunting with MR Perfusion due to Venous Reflux from Transient Functional Central Venous Stenosis due to Valsalva
We describe previously unreported MR perfusion artifacts resulting in a striking pattern of abnormality on postprocessed perfusion maps, simulating arteriovenous shunting. In this case, review of the MR perfusion source images was an important key to the most likely diagnosis. We demonstrate
the utility of reviewing MR perfusion source images and review causes of bolus contrast reflux-related artifacts on dynamic cross-sectional imaging.
