Currarino Triad and Multivisceral Anomalies: First Description of a New Association
The Currarino triad is a rare syndrome with a combination of partial sacral dysgenesis, presacral mass, and anorectal stenosis. We present the imaging findings in a neonate with the characteristic neuroradiologic findings in association with complex congenital heart disease and congenital
diaphragmatic hernia. These particular associations have not been previously reported and may be potentially explained by a common pathogenic mechanism that interferes with the development of the embryonic central axis structures.
