Injection of n-Butyl Cyanoacrylate and Epidural Fibrin Sealant for the Treatment of Spontaneous Intracranial Hypotension Secondary to a Sacral Perineural Root Sleeve Cyst

Spontaneous intracranial hypotension is a commonly initially misdiagnosed condition, which is now becoming increasingly recognized as a cause of daily persistent positional headaches. It is often caused by spontaneous CSF leaks. There are studies that demonstrated the effectiveness of injection of an autologous blood patch and/or percutaneous CT-guided placement of fibrin sealant for CSF leaks. Our case demonstrated a novel use of n-butyl cyanoacrylate in the management of intractable CSF leak‐related headaches.
