Magnetic Resonance Imaging of Posttraumatic Neuromas of the Lumbar Plexus
Lumbar plexus injuries are rare due to the protected position of the lumbar plexus within the abdomen and pelvis. MR neurography is a valuable tool in indicating this diagnosis and distinguishing it from other pathologies, such as nerve sheath tumors. We reported a rare case of a 29-year-old
woman who was ultimately diagnosed with multiple unilateral L2 through L5 posttraumatic neuromas of the lumbar plexus after a fall and discussed the clinical presentation, pathology, imaging features, and differential considerations.
