Imaging Findings in Intradural Extramedullary Hemangioblastoma: A Case Report and Review of the Literature
We report a rare case of a pathologically proved, strictly intradural extramedullary hemangioblastoma complicating Von Hippel-Lindau syndrome. The imaging findings of extramedullary spinal hemangioblastomas are distinct from their intramedullary counterparts, and the presence of characteristic
radiologic features may help differentiate them. Preoperative determination of the exact anatomic location is essential to reduce surgical morbidity and mortality. We also compared the MR imaging findings in our case with those previously described in the literature.
