Free Content A Review of Common Applications of Stereotactic Radiosurgery for the Neuroradiologist

This article reviewed common applications of stereotactic radiosurgery, with an emphasis on findings germane to preoperative treatment planning, expected postprocedural imaging follow-up, and potential complications. Vestibular schwannoma, pituitary adenoma, meningioma, trigeminal neuralgia, arteriovenous malformation, and intracranial metastasis are reviewed in detail. It is our hope that this review equips the radiologist with the necessary knowledge to better assist the neurosurgeon and the radiation oncologist in treatment planning and accurate follow-up imaging interpretation.
