Arterial Spin Labeling Evaluation of Migraine: A Clinical Vignette

Migraine remains an incompletely understood entity; however, there are known and well-described vascular changes both during the aura and headache phases. In this clinical vignette, we demonstrated cases of migraine imaged during and before the headache phase by using arterial spin labeling perfusion imaging. The use of “crusher” gradients with arterial spin labeling were reviewed in reference to slow flow states because these are encountered during the aura phase of the migraine.
